While out in the suburbs for Passover this week, I picked up this pair of LC Lauren Conrad sunglasses at Kohl’s. You know I love oversized sunglasses, and until now, I thought there was no such thing as too big when it came to shades. But although I was obsessed with these in the store, I am now questioning whether they look somewhat ridiculous.
I need to stop featuring my bathroom light switch so much on this blog. The fame is going to its head.
It’s not that my LCs are that much bigger than my other oversized shades. But they’re much more squared-off and the lenses are a darker tint, which I think makes them look much huger overall. Then again, maybe in the height of summer they’ll seem a little less ridic than they do now, in early spring. What do you think?
Meanwhile, did you guys hear that Lauren Conrad is launching a beauty blog called … wait for it! … The Beauty Department?! I’ve had so many nice things to say about her over the years (longtime readers might remember how excited I was to meet her) that I can’t help but wonder if she’s a secret fan of our blog. Maybe she copied our name without even realizing it? Oh well, as they always say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so we’ll just take this as a compliment, Lauren. (Feel free to pop on and comment if you’re reading, LC!)
I know a lot of you prefer wayfarer sunglasses, but I am sure you’ll still have opinions on the oversized variety, so let’s discuss. Is there such a thing as too-big oversized sunglasses? Or do you think bigger is better if you’re going for this style?
